Magic is the word used to describe various systems of our reality not explained by science. As a mystified concept, very few have knowledge of it let alone being practitioners of magic.
Very little magic is seen in Ihazon, let alone most of Surface. This might be because of the Church of Langenthal's long lasting prosecution of magic practitioners.
Schools of Magic
A few schools of magic have been referenced throughout history. These schools govern various ways of utilizing magic, and for different purposes.
School of Radosis
Radosicus magic is closely linked to the prominence of Divines in ancient Radosis, whose high innate magical prowess made them fiercely skilled at using magic offensively. As a result, Radosicus magic is centred around its appliance in war. The potency of this magic was demonstrated during the 1337 invasion of Ihazon, which scholars have described as the most devastating siege ever laid. Reports of fire and destruction raining from the sky indicate that Radosicus magic might be focused on large scale arcane fire spells, and that practise of it is tied to race or genes.
Path of God
Although it is denied to be a form of magic by the Church of Langenthal, it nevertheless functions similarly in many ways and is considered a school of magic by many. Path of God focuses on the casting of miracles, channelled with faith answered by the Gods. These miracles consist primarily of healing and utility spells and are forbidden to be used offensively. Despite this, many clerics within THICC use offensive miracles in battle.
Book of Mist
Many believe Misthliþ was the first nation to write down and classify magic in what is now called the Book of Mist. Despite its name, it's not actually a book but rather a set of texts, often bound seperately. Because Misthliþ is a country that is still shrouded in mystery, very few are able to get their hands on copies of these texts and thus knowledge of their magic is still limited. Scholars have described Misthliþa magic to be complicated but potent. Practise of it is heavily tied to the caster and has a large focus of arcane conjuration and mimicking reality. It is said that mastery of this type of magic requires life long dedication.
School of the Nether
The most mystified and unknown form of magic is that of the School of the Nether. They are practitioners of blood magic, a rumoured form of magic revolving around blood sacrifice and ritualistic pentacles. It is disputed among experts whether this form of magic actually exists, as no traces of it has ever been discovered to the public. Rumours have it that some Percinists are practitioners of this mysterious blood magic.

Referred to as pure magic, the Celestial Code is a codified index of magic available to Celeste, inhabitants of the Godrealms. Pure magic is unspecialised, and incorporates magic from all other known forms of magic. A magic form uniquely associated with this is cosmic magic, giving a practitioner control over manipulation of spacetime itself, allowing reshaping and restructuring of reality and traversal across nearly infinite distances. It is precisely this magic form that has given Celeste domination over all known cosmic realms, and their justification in acting as the universe's judicator.
True Magic

True magic, or raw magic, is not so much magic as it is complete control over the universe itself. It is not a codified system, but more of an abstract, innate understanding of the universe on both a macro and micro scale. It thus surpasses pure magic, which cannot restructure or change the laws of nature themselves, by multitudes. The only beings with capabilities for true magic is Cosmics, who are more akin to forces of nature themselves than sentient beings.
Trivia
- Combatants against the practice of magic have been known to wildly slap the air in search of hidden magic users, as some magic allows invisibility.
