Genus Reditus

Genus Reditus, whose followers are referred to as Redeos, is a major ancient polytheistic religion based in Radosis. Redeos worship God and His kin, the Demigods, who reside in the unobtainable Godrealms to watch over the people of Surface.

Belief

The book of Genus, the main source of knowledge of Genus Reditus, state that God decreed 8 Demigods, commanding the 4 dualities of life (also referred to as the 8 virtues), down to Surface to establish a holy land for the chosen people. This land became Radosis, and the dualities became man: Creation and destruction, sincerity and deception, reason and empathy, ethics and aesthetics.

The Demigods would leave Surface to watch over man from above as they would conquer and master all dualities of life to unlock their true potential. Then, and only then, could humanity ascend to a higher realm of beings.

At some point, the faith diverged between those who are awaiting the return of the Demigods once humans has unlocked their true potential and those who believe the Demigods are among us. The latter became Assecula de Genus, whose followers believe the Demigods and their kin are the Divine that have walked among us. This has garnered a large following after the appearance of Togfan, a Divine who has propelled incredible growth in many nations, and is seen as a sign of the Demigods helping mankind reach the goal of ascension.

In history

Genus Reditus has had enormous impact on history. The many conquests of Radosis were justified through this.
