Frank Shank and Sons is a bladesmith based in Rewley, New Summerset, and is one of the oldest still operating bladesmiths in Ihazon. They have kept their tradition of passing down the mastersmith title to the oldest Frank Shank alive since their foundation in 560, and they hire locals for apprenticeships to help production.
Reputation
Frank Shank and Sons is perhaps one of the most well known brands in Ihazon, after Lesko and Mayne's Coffee. They have been responsible for the majority of blades currently in circulation, one way or another.
A staple of their workshop is their trial time on blades as well as their custom requests. Customers are allowed to try out a blade for a month before paying, to see if it is the right blade for them. Frank Shank and Sons also go out of their way to fulfil requests for custom blades. Because of this, they offer above average prices.
Allegedly, many customers, especially those in the vicinity in New Summerset and Gruvania, have gotten away with not paying for their blades. This is speculated to be part of the reason these two cities experience such a high amount of blade-related homicides, seeing as New Summerset has the highest knife homicide rate in the country.
