Langenthal is the capital of Ihazon and the largest city in the world by area and population. It is the main financial, industrial and commercial hub of Ihazon and neighbouring nations.
During the last population census done by the LGA (Langenthal Graph Agency), Langenthal's population was estimated to be 1155.
Districts
Langenthal is divided into 9 main districts with 6 smaller districts.
Commercial District
Commercial District, also known as Commerce and Centre, is the central district of the city. This is where most of the commerce is located. The city hall, Server plaza and Langenthal nuclear power plant are located here, as well as Vales Union Bank & Insurance. There's also different shops around the district, and you can find the Langenthal hotel here as well. Traffic has increased lately due to the massive ammount of commuters working in downtown. This has resulted to the widest road on the server being built here, the 6 lane SV2.
Downtown
Downtown is the business centre of Ihazon, where almost the entire financial sector of the country is located. Most of the buildings here are financial buildings or offices, although there has later been put up a few high-rises as well. The Parliament is located here, making Downtown even more of a powerhouse district.
Downtown features the most busy part of the city, with traffic slowly carving its way through Times Plaza, and pedestrians flocking to the tram lines and the monorail above. The high capacity roads in Downtown are always cramped to the max.
The district is most known for its extremely tall buildings, with the tallest being the Langenthal world financial center, the tallest building on the server. Other major buildings are the newly renovated SMP HQ and the Ampersand Corp Building.
Southern Langenthal
Southern Langenthal is where Terminal Station and Langenthal international airport is located. Despite the large size, its space is only filled with the two large transport facilities, noting its importance to the city. It's well connected with SV1 and SV3 coming in from north and east side. Additionally it has a tunnel leading out of the city.
Industrial District
Langenthal industrial district is the district located west for the centre. It's infamous for its giant toilet, but more importantly it's the main centralization of industry and a main source of income generation.
Langenthal North
Langenthal North is a very dense residental area located north-east of the city. Ever since its construction it has been a central and important district of the city, being the most populated district in the city. Its characteristics are densely packed skyscrapers and high-rises. The tallest building in the district is the Rail Tower, with its very distinctive curved look.
Langenthal West
Langenthal West covers all of the west side of the city, bordering with Commercial District, Downtown and Southern Langenthal from the east. Above and below it are residential districts while in the middle a more commercial district with several stores with some offices. Residental areas include the original Southern and Central Residential, housing some of the first suburban houses in the city, dating back to when the city was newborn. Over time the two residential districts have grown to be more populated with many different suburban houses. Most of its houses are priced rather high for their central location, near most transportation methods and the newest school, Langenthal West Highschool. Currently no significant people have their houses located here.
Above are the much newer districts Japantown and 'Straya. These are less central and less pricey districts. Japantown is a dense Japan-themed district with several Japanese names. Its construction took place around the time of when SV2 was built towards the Industrial District. 'Straya is the newest residential area and features larger lots and houses, but more remote and thus with a lot lower prices. There are still, unlike Japantown, a lot of empty space to build more houses in, partly because of low demand. Its most significant connection is Uptown.
Uptown
The newest district of the city, Uptown is an ambitious and dense Scandinavian-themed downtown located north for the city centre. It features tall and massive townhouses with stores paved to the street in each first floor, with wide streets between. The district is engineered to handle dense traffic and offers a large amount of shopping facilities, office space and apartments in a compact space. It's still in development, and north for the district has plans for a new port.
Undeground district
The underground district was an old project of making a city under the city. However the project was abandoned and now only remainders can be seen. Lately the entrance has been completly sealed.
Infrastructure
Energy sources
Langenthal's electricity is delivered by the local nuclear power plant run by Tawg nuclear energy ltd. Current energy consumption is 1440 MW.
Tallest buildings
The tallest building in Langenthal, and also the tallest on the server, is the LWFC at a height of astonishing 186 meters. The second tallest building is the Langenthal apartments skyscraper.
Transportation
Langenthal has the most developed infrastructure on the server, and the only city with a light-rail-system. Public transportation consists two monorail/light-rail lines and 4 stations, several bus lines, the airport and the large railway station. Infrastructre generally, there is a highway connected to Gruvania, a 4 lane boulevard through downtown all the way to the airport, SV2 through Langenthal commerce centre, splitting in a 4 lane tunnel towards Langenthal industrial district and a 4 lane groundway avenue through Langenthal North. After the SV2 was built, traffic to and from industrial district has smoothened. One can still see the remains of the old road and bridge. The widest road section in Ihazon is located in Langenthal commerce centre, the SV2 with 7 lanes before the tunnel interchange.
Notable Residents
All important people on the server is reported to have a resident in the capital, as well as most other users that's ever been online. Important citizens include Togfan, the mayor of the city; Metteliten, the minister of hi-tech; the deceased Borisdotpercy and his succeeder, HyperDuck; as well as several others. The city has no restrictions for how many residents one person may own, and so many notable residents have several houses and flats around the city.
The capital hosts many vacation houses, but not as many as other cities. There's a clear trend for people who live in the large city to build or buy houses in other major cities.
Ancient History (adapted from ancient tapestries in Langenthal church)
Langenthal was once a small village, overshadowed by greater cities, like Trondheim and Summerset. Though undeveloped, The village was much more densely populated than that of the larger cities. The reason for this was that Langenthal was home to a ferocious beast: a slime. Many had tried to destroy the race of slimes, though their efforts were in vain, for the slimes re-popluated by breaking apart. All but one slime were killed, by the year 1485. This slime was ordered to be locked up for life by the supreme ruler, Notch. Just 1 year after being locked up, the slime was sentenced to a public execution in the city of Trondheim. However, the slime broke free and devoured the whole city. Notch and others fled to Tekkea, where they were safe, as the slime reduced all the cities to rubble. Notch did never retun. In the year of 1903, Langenthal was rediscovered by a group of explorers. Led by Togfan, the group managed to find and overpower the slime. Togfan's race moved to the country of Ihazon and set out rebuilding the cities. Togfan named herself mayor of Langenthal and made it the new capital of Ihazon. Langenthal is now the most developed city in Ihazon.
