A modern artist's rendition of Togfan, but this might have been how divine appeared on the battlefield in the 1337 invasion of Ihazon

Divine are a very rare race famed for their extremely long lifespans and incredible power. They are commonly believed to be descendants of God, although no claims have ever been proven. The most known divine in modern times is Togfan, mayor of Langenthal, who unlike her counterparts appear to be pacifistic.

Most divine appear to be normal humans in looks and personality. However, they possess supernatural traits that are often invisible on the surface, as well as being able to spawn functional wings. This rare and bizarre trait is not seen in any other race.

History

Throughout history, divine have always been a rare sight but very influential in shaping the world once they interfere. During the high ages of Radosis, the empire was home to the largest concentration of divine ever known of. Many divine held high titles of nobility and some were even worshipped in the Radosian pantheon. Prime examples were Empress Clementia and her 5 divine sons, that all represented different concepts in their pantheon.

Perhaps being the reason for why so many known divine were in positions of high power, was because of their immense power that set many people in fear. Indeed, it was proven in the brutal 1337 invasion of Ihazon as many divine warriors, including Clementia's sons, led the charge. The destruction they were able to unleash was unrivalled. Several Ihazonan cities and countless lives were mercilessly slaughtered.

During Radosis' internal collapse in 1350, after the death of Empress Clementia, her divine sons stirred up a devastating civil war in battle of the throne. The sheer destructive power was even greater than that shown during the 1337 invasion. None of the sons survived the civil war, and many other divine ended their lives in conflict with one another.

As the years passed, the remaining divine were lost in times together with all recordings of heir origin. It is believed Radosian culture stemmed from knowledge of where divine have descended from, but this information is long gone.
