Memes per Hour (abbreviated mph) is a matric unit of speed widely used in Ihazon and Thoiria.

Definition

A meme per hour is defined as moving at a speed allowing enough distance covered to spawn one meme of acceptable quality in the span of one hour. It is also directly proportional to the square root of amount of variations any given meme would experience given the amount of distance covered over the duration was converted to memers who have access to editing software. In other words, memes per hour is a way to express how many memes would theoretically be created over the distance covered within an hour and how many meme variations it is equivalent to. That is to say, a speed of 50 memes per hour would be 50 memes created over the given distance and 2,500 meme variations expressed. A speed of 70 memes per hour would result in a theoretical 70 memes created and 4,900 variations of a meme. Because of this, it is easy to see why increasing speeds require an exponential amount of energy at higher speeds and would be fatal if two entities at high speeds would collide. A speed of 90 memes per hour will have a whopping 8,100 meme variation equivalence. A collision between two vehicles travelling at 90 memes per hour would result in an astonishing 262,440,000% degradation in meme quality and certain death in most cases.
