Conservation status is a grouping used for species and races to indicate if the group still exists or is in danger of being extinct in the near future.
Race ratings
- Extinct - the race does not exist anymore
- Historically extinct - the race has been subjected to a genocide or similar mass extinction, and only few survivors remain
- Isolated - the race is only known to inhabit one country or location
- Minority - the race is considered an ethnic minority in one or more country
- Protected minority - the race is considered an ethnic minority and is under protection in one or more country
- Regionally common - the race is common in some parts of the world but uncommon in others
- Globally common - the race is common in every part of the world
